Apart from birding, I also offer general sightseeing tours and I specialize in history and culture. The text below is taken from a page my website www.privateguide-ireland.com
Please take a look to see if you can combine birding with sightseeing and I will be happy to plan for both. I am very flexible and we can combine cultural and birding visits without any problem - even on the same day. One day trips are fine or choose from below.
Three night, four days Budget Tour Of The South West West Cork and Kerry are major tourist areas of Ireland and rightly so. They are not well covered by public transport and although Cork has an international airport, most flights arrive from Europe. Lufthansa has a flight from the USA to Cork and so does Aer Lingus. The aim of this short trip is to provide an opportunity to some great places at minimal cost. This means that I can only start and finish the trip for clients who are either staying in Cork or are willing to make their own way to Cork. There is an excellent train service between Cork and Dublin, and also a very good bus service. I can pick up at Cork airport, Cork bus station or Cork railway station, or any accommodation in West Cork. Bed and breakfast accommodation is available for three nights at Ravens Oak, Bantry. www.ravens-oak.com This is normally a self catering apartment owned by my wife and myself, but for this short tour b and b is provided for tour guests or they can take self catering at a lower cost if they wish. It is for a maximum of 4 clients. The all in cost for two clients is euro 520 per person, for three clients it is euro 390 per person, and for four clients is euro 325 per person which includes three nights accommodation, three breakfasts, 4 days touring, and all entry fees.
Evening meals are taken at the town of Bantry ( drop off and return provided ) If Ravens Oak is full then b and b accommodation can be offeredlocally at recommended guesthouses.
